QUETTA: A division bench of the Balochistan High Court (BHC) comprising Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan and Justice Shakeel Ahmed Baloch on Tuesday recalled the interim pre-arrest bail granted to eight petitioners in different cases filed by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Balochistan.

The bench dismissed the constitutional petitions praying the court to declare the notices of NAB null and void so that they are not detained by the Authority.

The bench maintained that after hearing arguments from both sides and perusing the documents and records, it was revealed that an inquiry/investigation by the NAB was in progress and the same had not yet been concluded.

On the basis of tentative assessment of material available on record, the petitioners cannot make a basis to invoke the constitutional jurisdiction of this court for declaring the same null and void or for grant of pre-arrest bail to them at this stage as the same may hamper the inquiry/ investigation pending with the NAB.

Ehsanullah, Zaman Khan, Abdul Raziq, Abdul Hakeem, Yar Muhammad, Mohibullah, Bismiullah Kakar and Manan Kakar and another, through their counsels, had submitted that NAB should be directed not to arrest, harass, humiliate or coerce them.
