BAHAWALPUR: The election tribunal headed by retired district and sessions judge Chaudhry Abdul Hafeez on Monday disqualified PML-N MNA Syed Dewan Ashiq Bokhari (NA-153, Jalalpirwala of Multan district) after he failed to produce his FA certificate.

Petitioner Rana Qasim Noon (defeated PPP candidate) had alleged that Dewan Ashiq did not have FA certificate while he claimed to be a master’s degree holder.

The tribunal asked the respondent to produce his FA certificate but he failed.
