SIALKOT: Indian Border Security Forces (BSF) resorted to unprovoked shelling in Sialkot border villages in Charwah Sector late on Friday, Chenab Rangers officials said.
The BSF intensified firing with light machine guns and also fired mortar shells targeting the civilian population.
The Chenab Rangers retaliated the fire. No loss of life or any injury was reported.
WARDENS: Up to 75 wardens started regulating traffic in the Sialkot city on Saturday, Deputy Superintendent of Police Muhammad Waseem Akhtar said.
He said the old traffic police personnel would man roads in Daska, Sambrial and Pasrur and Sialkot tehsils, while wardens would watch the Sialkot city traffic.
