Muslims around the world celebrate Eidul Azha to mark the end of the Haj pilgrimage by slaughtering sheep, goats, camels and cows to commemorate Prophet Abraham's willingness to sacrifice his son, Ismail, on God's command.
Around the world, Muslims offer prayers and the ritual practice of slaughtering livestock to mark the end of the annual Hajj day. Muslims hug and felicitate each other on this auspicious occasion.

Everything in pictures was alright and beautiful, until I looked at the window of the train that carried the lady with henna, on her beautiful arms, to Peshawar. The window bars of the special train are so ugly at the point where the are joined to the train. It appears to be a very ancient train, perhaps when masons had to install windows with cement.

@Agha Ata That train is a tribute from 'Sad' Rafeeque to the nation on Eid. Shameless leaders, pitiful work.

@roger_davis :: You should come back to Pakistan and make it the country of your happy days in Pakistan. Now that you have lived outside of Pakistan in comfort, security, and freedom... be a good Muslim and give back the same to Pakistan.

Good photographs except for the one where animal is being slaughtered.
I am not against eating meat but totally against slaughtering the animals openly in a violent and inhuman manner. When kids see this it has a bad effect in their minds.
You can very well relate to the widespread beheadings going on in Islamic countries to this practice.

@Mukesh animal sacrifice has been going on for the past 1400 years and the beheading incidents which u r pointing out are a very recent phenomenon that too in one or two countries currently under the control of radicals e.g. taliban and ISIS controlled countries (And those who r doing it are not doing any service to Islam as Islam clearly forbids killing / beheading innocents thus please don't link it to Islamic society in general). No such practice is going on in majority of the muslims world including the most conservative societies like Saudi Arabia so please dont brand the entire Islamic world as a barbaric society (given the fact that millions of non muslims r living in many of these societies by their own free will e.g. the gulf countries where they have freedom of religion and are not being beheaded).
Plus had seeing a sacrifice would make a child barbaric then most if not all the murders and genocides would have been conducted by children of butchers and meat sellers (As they see this happening on a daily basis). Plus it may look cruel but Islamic way of slaughtering is not cruel because by swift cutting of vessels of the neck disconnects the flow of blood to the nerve of the brain responsible for pain. Thus the animal does not feel pain. While dying, the animal appears to struggle, writhe, shake and kick, not due to pain, but due to the contraction and relaxation of the muscles deficient in blood and due to the flow of blood out of the body.
Finally, it is a humble request that please dont comment anything which can hurt the sentiments of muslims (esp on their festival days) as this is a ritual prescribed to the muslims by Allah. Every one has positive and negative opinions to other's belief but that does not give us the right to criticise others. P.S wishing u a very happy navratri, burga ashtmi, dussehra and diwali.

@Muhammad I appreciate your views and respect them. I too was tired of all the negative comments going around due to Eid-ul-Adha and completely agree with the fact that please stop with the negative comments based on a religion.
On the other hand, loved all the pictures and simply adored the smiles on Palestinians faces. May Allah bless you all.
