PESHAWAR: In a major reshuffle, the Peshawar High Court on Thursday transferred and posted 117 judicial officers in the province.

According to an order issued by Peshawar High Court Registrar Mohammad Arshad, six district and sessions judges were named judges of consumer courts exclusively in six regional headquarters of the province.

Among the judges transferred and posted were 46 district and sessions judges, including 31 recently promoted additional district and sessions judges; 32 additional district and sessions judges, including 14 recently promoted senior civil judges; 16 senior civil judges, including 14 recently promoted civil judges, and 23 civil judges.

District and sessions judge (DSJ) Mohammad Bashir has been relieved by the Peshawar High Court on his repatriation from the provincial government to join his new assignment as the chairman of the Environmental Protection Tribunal, Peshawar.


Six named consumer court judges in regional headquarters of province


The post had been lying vacant for many months.

Six DSJs were transferred and posted as officers on special duty at the Peshawar High Court until the finalisation of their nomination as judges of consumer courts.

Until now, the respective DSJ has been assigned the additional powers of consumer courts.

It’s the first time that exclusive consumer courts will function in the province.

Among these six judges are Charsadda DSJ Mohammad Adil Khan named as judge of the consumer court in Swat; DSJ Khwaja Wajihuddin on repatriation nominated as judge of the consumer court in Peshawar; Nowshera DSJ Anwer Hussain transferred and nominated as judge of the consumer court in Mardan; recently promoted ADSJ Syed Zamurad Shah transferred from Bannu and nominated as judge of the consumer court in Bannu; promoted ADSJ Nasim Akber transferred from Shangla and nominated as judge of the consumer court in Kohat; and recently promoted ADSJ Shoaib Khan nominated as judge of the consumer court in DI Khan.

Another DSJ in Tank, lnamullah Khan, was relieved of the office to join as judge of anti-terrorism court (ATC) in DI Khan.

Tank DSJ Mohammad Farhatullah Khan and Karak DSJ Khalil Khan Khalil were transferred and posted as OSD at the Peshawar High Court.

Another DSJ Syed Moamber Jan was transferred from Buner to Nowshera.

Similarly, Mansehra DSJ Mohammad Younis Khan was transferred to the Peshawar High Court as OSD until the finalisation of his nomination as judge of the banking court in Abbottabad by the federal government.

Peshawar DSJ Shabbir Khan was transferred to the Peshawar High Court as OSD until the finalisation of his nomination as the presiding officer of the labour court in Peshawar by the provincial government.

Battagram DSJ Mohammad Masood was relieved of his office to join new assignment as the judge of ATC in Abbottabad.

Also, Chitral DSJ Shafiq Tanoli was transferred to the Peshawar High Court as OSD until the finalisation of his nomination as the chairman of the drug court by the federal government.

Other transferred DSJs include Khalid Badshah (from Shangla to Malakand), Anwer Ali Khan (on repatriation posted in Peshawar), Tariq Parvez Baloch (from ADJ Tank as DSK Tank), Mohammad Jamal Khan (from Chitral to Charsadda), Babar All Khan (from additional registrar in Swat bench to the same upgraded post of additional registrar), Mohammad Tariq (from Banda Daud Shah to Lakki Marwat), Mohammad Sabir (from Takht Bhai to DI Khan bench as additional registrar), Syed Ahtesham Ali (from additional member of the inspection team/ human rights directorate to the same upgraded post), Rajab Ali Khan (from Lakki Marwat to Battagram), Mohammad lqbal Khan (from Swabi to Abbottabad bench as additional registrar), Nasrullah Khan Gandapur (from Haripur to Bannu bench as additional registrar), lkhtiar Khan (from Mardan to the Peshawar High Court as the chief of the National Judicial Policy Implementation Cell), Naveed Ahmad Khan (from Battagram to Shangla), Madad Khan (from Buner to Swat in Batkhela as judge of the ATC), Ahmad Sultan Tareen (from Balakot to Chitral), Gohar Rehman (from Kohat to the Peshawar High Court as draftsman), Mohammad Hussain (from Chitral to Bannu), Mahmoodul Hassan (from Bannu to the same station as judge of the ATC), Mohammad Zubair Khan (Samarbagh to Lower Dir), Sajjad Ahmad (from Nowshera to Mardan), Muzzamil Shah Khattak (from Upper Dir to Buner), Liaquat Ali Khan Marwat (from Dargai to Karak), Rafiullah (from Paharpur to Upper Dir), Salahuddin (from ADJ Mansehra to DSJ Mansehra), Mohammad Amin (from Peshawar to Swat as judge ATC), Jamaluddin (from Peshawar to Hangu), Mohammad Asif (from additional registrar administration to additional registrar judicial at the Peshawar High Court), Mohammad Zeb Khan (from Kohat to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Judicial Academy as director instructions), Sofia Waqar Khattak (from the Peshawar High Court to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Judicial Academy as senior director administration), Mohammad Zafar (from the additional registrar judicial to additional registrar administration at the Peshawar High Court) and Mohammad Rauf Khan (from ADJ DI Khan to DSJ DI Khan).
