LAHORE: Reshuffle in the Punjab cabinet has finally started as the charge of law and parliamentary affairs portfolio has been withdrawn from Rana Mashhood.

Still in the cabinet with the portfolio of education, Mashhood was enjoying additional charge of law after Rana Sanaullah resigned in the wake of Model Town incident.

But Mashhood also lost his trust in the eyes of Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif after a private TV channel screened a video in which the minister was belittling the Sharifs.

Mashhood had rejected it as a fake video but an internal inquiry reportedly led by PML-N chairman Raja Zafarul Haq had found him guilty of the charge.

The portfolio of law has now been given to finance minister Mujtaba Shujaur Rehman, while the charge of home department goes to retired Col Shuja Khanzada.

More reshuffle in the cabinet is likely in a couple of days as an insider says that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has directed Shahbaz that Rana Sana should be again considered for a cabinet slot.
