The National Clay Court Tennis Championship is expected to attract country’s leading talent in seven different categories.

Subh-e-Nau, an environment and public health concern, said in a press release on Tuesday that SN believes in promoting sports especially tennis at grass-roots level to involve youth in peaceful activities.

Revived by SN after a gap of 16 years, clay-court tennis is a feature event of the organisation. The tournament, to be sponsored by NBP, will be played at Pakistan

Tennis Federation Complex in Islamabad and players will compete in men’s singles, men’s doubles, ladies singles, ladies doubles, boys under-18 singles and mixed doubles.

A special category has been added by the organisers for media personnel as well. Players can send their entries at SN office at 051-4432194 and to referee Shehzad Akhter Alvi at 0333-5158971. The finals of the tournament will be played on Oct 25.
