LAHORE: Four-goal Adam Khan helped host Adisseo beat Colony Sugar 6-3 in the Adisseo Polo Cup at the Lahore Polo Club here on Wednesday.

Having two goals on handicap, the losers could add just one goal through Hassan Agha Khan. But Adam was in terrific form to steal the show.

He struck a field goal on solo efforts in the first chukker, followed by his accompanier Hayat Mehmood, who leveled the score 2-2 by converting a 30-yard penalty hit.

More miseries were in store for the losers in the first chukker as Alam Jalil Azam and Adam struck one goal each in the dying minutes to take 4-2 lead. In the second chukker, Adam hit back-to-back goals to make it 6-2 before Hassan hit a consolation goal for the losers to make the tally. No goal made in the fourth chukker.

Meanwhile, in the Inaugural Polo Cup at the Lahore Garrison Polo Ground,

Three-goal Mian Khurram Munir and two each by Miss Raqia Mansoor and Farasat Ali Chatha helped Subhan Group crush ALM Security 8-3.

The winners made a stormy start of 3-0 lead in the first chukker as Farasat, Mian Khurram and Hamd Tariq entered one goal each. Holding sway in the second chukker, too the winners took 5-1 lead as Farasat and Mian Khurram added one goal apiece. Zubair Khalid pumped in the first goal for the losers.

The third chukker saw the winning team increased the lead to 7-2 as Mian Khurram and Miss Raqia banged home one goal each. Zeeshan Ikram fired for the losers. Miss Raqia netted her second goal in the fourth chukker for the winners while Zubair slammed in his second for the losers.
