GUJRAT: PPP co-chairperson Asif Ali Zardari has appointed former MNA Sameena Mushtaq Pagganwala as the Gujrat district president of PPP, replacing Tahir Zaman Kaira who held the office since 2006.
Sameena Pagganwala is the first ever woman president of party’s district chapter in Punjab. Mr Zardari announced the decision at a party meeting in Bilawal house on Tuesday.
Tahir Kaira who is being tipped as the party president of the Gujranwala division is the elder brother of senior PPP leader and former federal information minister Qamar Zaman Kaira.
