Two killed in Hangu

HANGU, Sept 5: Two persons were killed and four injured in three separate incidents in Hangu district, police sources said on Friday.

An Afghan refugee was killed by some unidentified persons at Kathgadi refugee camp on Wednesday night. The kin of the deceased charged one Sharif, a resident of the same area, in an FIR.

In another incident on the night between Wednesday and Thursday, some unknown persons opened fire on an Afghan doctor at Bakhati Banda refugee camp, injuring him critically. The doctor was rushed to hospital in Peshawar.

Meanwhile, one Nawab Gul, son of Sawab Gul, was killed when his four rivals namely Momin Khan, Sartaj, Qazzafi and Ali Asghar allegedly opened fire on him on Thursday.

The two parties recently patched up the dispute through a local jirga. Brother of the deceased, Amjad, in revenge opened fire on jirga members namely Sahibzada and Khyal, in the main market in Hangu injuring them critically. One shopkeeper was also injured in the firing.

The injured were shifted to hospital in Peshawar.
