QUETTA: Lawyers boycotted on Saturday proceedings of the city courts in protest against an alleged police attack in which the additional sessions judge of Loralai, Arbab Riaz Kasi, was injured.

The call for the boycott was given by various associations of lawyers.

No lawyer appeared before the sessions, civil and anti-terrorism courts in the city as well as judicial magistrates.

They demanded punishment to the three policemen accused of inflicting injury to the judge.

Representatives of the Balochistan Bar and High Court Associations said that the policemen manhandled the judge at the Science College Chowk despite the fact that he had informed them about his identity.
