ISLAMABAD: While giving as good as it gets, former chief justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry claimed Monday that Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan was a Musharraf sell-out when confronted with a question by media representatives pertaining to his role in the alleged rigging in the May 2013 elections.
The former top judge was speaking to reporters in the federal capital after offering his condolences to Barrister Akram Sheikh over the death of the latter's wife.
Chaudhry said there would be no compromise on the case registered against the PTI chairman. He moreover said that Imran did not deem anyone worthy of respect except himself.
Earlier in July, Chaudhry's lawyers had sent a defamation notice worth 20 billion rupees to Imran over allegations levelled against the former chief justice pertaining to involvement in alleged poll rigging. The two have been engaged in a war of words and have taken potshots at each other on several occasions.

Separately, the former chief justice said that institutions in the country were stable and that there was no kind of threat to the existing system.
Chaudhry had gone to Sheikh's residence in a vehicle that bore no number plate. Upon being questioned, the former CJ declared the absence of the number plate as a security-related matter.

In the defamation letter that the ex-CJ's advocates sent to IK, they explained fully why IK's accusations were false. The latter's advocates after consultations with IK accepted that his accusations were false and offered an unconditional and profound apology. When IK realised that it will damage his Sit In he withdrew the apology. The details of the apology were published in the Pak media and should be available to any one interested in the truth. As for the status of the ex-CJ, he is highly respected among the international jurors who, if I remembered correctly, awarded him an honour.

Any other citizen of Pakistan would be given a ticket for not having the number plates but because he is the CJ, the law doesn't apply to him, particularly in Punjab. As a former CJ, Mr. Chaudri would serve himself well, if he stays out of mudslinging and politics. Justices, are supposed to show dignity and composure, even when under personal attacks. CJs are supposed to guide a nation with wisdom, not cheap remarks. Pakistani leaders in typical fashion try to out do each other in mudslinging, thinking if the other has more mud on them, then they will look better. We have an abundance of third rate leaders, including this CJ.

Even the rumors that you took money from foreign government and Nawaz politicians is enough for someone with high moral calibre to resign. That you are not.

Although I had respect for former CJ Iftikhar Choudhary for standing against dictatorship and making some very bold decisions at his time but ever since the whole affair about his son being involved in high scale corruption became public made me very shocked and leery of him. Later on, he totally excused himself out of it and how the case was "hushed" tells us that the whole system is corrupt to the core. We seriously need to look at out ourselves and think twice about who we are supporting. It seems to be all clear now, all the forces that are threatened by PTI's mandate are now joining hands and building strong force against IK and PTI. No matter how much filth they may produce against Imran Khan, I think we need to side with him for the sake of ordinary Pakistani citizen, who is clearly the victim of all this. Otherwise, we will never be able to save this great nation of ours from it's demise.

What about Mr Chaudry, he was also a Musharraf sell out, he took oath under PCO, he was appointed by Musharraf as CJ, he dismissed petition challenging LFO in 2002, he dismissed cases against Musharraf's uniform and 17th amendment in 2005, He went to Rafique Tarar to get his resignation, his son Arsalan Iftikhar's appointments etc?
He is also a Nawaz Sharif sell out ...Can he explain why he is travelling in a Mercedes Car, even when he was CJ he was authorized a much lesser car, than how come he is travelling in a lavish car after his retirement??, and by the way why he is roaming in a car bearing no number plate, where is the law which in his own words was equal for every one.

I was in Pakistan with my father who is an American-trained lawyer. when Iftiqhar choudhary questioned Tahir ul qardri's credentials as a dual-national citizen to challenge the makeup of the Election Commission, my father was appalled. Even including Judges allowed to have Black Glasses on their Cars.Did IK entered in the Jalsa Gaha through special gates and some of the extra ordinary treatments are inevitably required for the dignity of Pakistan. First security agencies need reforms then the things could be changed. IK's version to some extent is true and some extent Political slogan. I would just like to quote one thing: Chaudhary Aitzaz while responding to the allegations of Chaudhary Nisar in the Parliament had said that when the CJ Iftikhar was restored, many people approached him to represent them in the Supreme Court and that he could have made billions. He refused on grounds of conflict of interest. And he says "Many people did make billions". Now the question arises how did people make billions if CJ Iftikhar was only dispensing justice and deciding cases in accordance with the law!!! Kudos to Dharna for creating discord among the thieves and exposing themselves. Not that they have any shaame.

Mr. Ex CJ, Do you know something that is called 'graceful retirement'?? BTW, why are you roaming around in an unregistered Mercedes???? Who bought it for you??? I am sure your salary as CJ was not enough for this kind of car!!!!
