I always had known that Younis was a confident batsman. He is an asset to the world cricket and to Pakistan. He should not be side lined for a foreseeable future. Furthermore I believe he can make a genuine contribution in the forth coming world cup.

Younis Khan has been one of the finest and stylish batsmen Pakistan Cricket have produced. Extremely fit and agile on and off the field. A team boy. We have seen good players but few have been so humble as Younis is. He is an old style test cricketer, prior to color uniform era. Only shortcoming that can be attributed to Younis is; his killer instinct and ability to turn around things according to the situation. I remember when he got out, trying to hit Yuvraj Singh in the semi final against India in 2011 World Cup. I believe that would be the difference between a very good Younis Khan and a great Younis Khan in history books. Never the less, we are so happy with Younis these days. Two centuries in one test match in 40 years is quite an incredible feat against Australia.

There is no doubt about it that he is very good test player, very hardworking and talented. But in ODI I never saw him scoring fine runs. He disappointed me almost like 80% in ODI. But I still admire him.

But Younis Khan was captain in Nasim Ashraf's tenure too which was before 2009.

he is a good batsman with good character. Afridi & Akmal brothers must learn team work from him. Another man of integrity Rashid Latif always support his friend younis Khan. This is showing what a great freinds of circle they have. Pakistan won T20 world cup under Younis Khan captainship but our media did not appraise 2009 victory the way they still highlights 92 world cup victory. This is unfair.

To win a world cup as a captain, says it all. He was able to get beat out of Afridi in T20 World Cup in 2009. So that suggests that his personal charms is helpful. Being from Karachi may be the most only negative since selection process in Pakistan is full of PCB officers favoring relatives. Many talented Karachi players are sidelined in spite of excellent performances.
Give him captinship on one day, he will get it again.

Younis khan is the proud of Pakistan and he is a true gentleman for gentleman game. YK is not only player but also a man who know how to behave. He is a complete package as a player and a human being. He is full of confident and never lose temper in hard time. Youngsters have many things to learn from him. He is one of those who believe in taking decision and make them correct. He must be give opportunity to play till the last moment. He ll never disappoint us from his performance. In past he proved that he deliver always in crisis and rightly called as a man of crisis for Pakistan and a proud of International Cricket.

@Aamer Anwar If you think YK is stylish than the long series comprising Saeed Anwer Inzemam, Zaheer Miandad Majid, Asif Iqbal, etc. etc., should be out of this world.

The performance of Younis Khan has expose the bureaucratic roll within PCB, now it is confirm that there is no criteria except favoritism to make possible once inclusion in the team. They drop Younis from one day squad, there is no match of Younis with any other cricketer in the team. And they will never meet the caliber of Younis Khan. He is truly GENTLE MAN CRICKETER.
