LAHORE: The results of the 10th Dawn in Education Spelling Bee pool rounds (9-11 age group) have been announced.

The pool rounds began on Monday at the Ali Institute of Education and 153 schools from Lahore, Sialkot, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Okara, Sahiwal, Sargodha, Kasur, Muridke, Daska and Sheikhupura are participating.

The winners of the age group 9-11 are: (Pool A-1) Lahore Grammar School, Junior Branch, Ghalib Market, Lahore, (Pool-A 2) Lahore Grammar School J.T. Junior Girls, Lahore, (Pool- A3) Learning Alliance, Aziz Avenue Branch, Lahore, (Pool A-4) Army Public School, Garrison Jr, Lahore, (Pool-A5) Apex Grammar School, Lahore, (Pool- A6) The City School, New Muslim Town, Lahore, (Pool- A7) Roots Int’l School, Canal Campus, MTS, Lahore, and (Pool-A8) Sialkot Grammar School, Sambrial Branch.

The contest is being held in three age groups from Oct 28 to 31. The competition is being organised by the Dawn Media Group in partnership with the US Embassy, Islamabad.

The pronouncer was Tanwir Shah. The judges from Oxford University Press were Qudsia Sajjad, Saiba Mian, Qasim Mehdi and Riffat Abbas.
