ONCE upon a time, a monster named Elmo lived in a jungle and had never gone out of his territory. One day he planned to go out for a walk. He had only one banana to eat but still he set out for the walk.

As he began to walk, he met two rabbits. He was surprised to see them as he had never seen rabbits before. As he moved forward, he came across three bears — a baba bear, a mama bear and a baby bear.

He was still walking and it was almost lunch time. He felt hungry but he had already eaten the banana. He approached an apple tree, from where he plucked four apples and had a fabulous lunch under the tree.

When he finished his lunch, he encountered five snakes near the tree. They were crawling towards him. He was shocked and ran towards his home.

As he reached home, he felt thirsty and drank six glasses of water and relaxed for awhile. Then he got up and prepared seven sandwiches for dinner.

As he was done with making the sandwiches, someone rang the doorbell. He opened the door and saw eight cats standing there.

They requested him to let nine squirrels share his place for a night.

He let the squirrels in and prepared 10 more sandwiches for their dinner. When they were finished having dinner, Elmo saw 11 bugs crawling inside his house through window.

The next morning he baked 12 cakes for his friends who were coming to see him after a long time. He also bought 13 balls for them to play with.

As he was cleaning his house, he saw 14 butterflies fluttering around him. Elmo bought 15 balloons to decorate the house.

His friends came at noon and together they enjoyed a lot. As they left, Elmo saw a similar apple tree near his house – the tree from which he had plucked apples the day before.

Now the tree had 16 apples. Close to the tree, there were plants with 17 flowers.

After a few hours, Elmo got bored and decided to have some fun. He then made soap bubbles and blew 18 bubbles in the air.

The next day, 19 more friends of Elmo joined him to celebrate the Independence Day of Pakistan. Together they waved 20 flags of Pakistan.
