WHEN the earth was created, there was a mountain on which the volcano goddess Garitina lived. She was not too keen about humans living on her island and climbing her but she tolerated it. The last straw came when they started dumping filth on the mountain. She was so angry that the lava inside her started to boil, the rocks on her body began to shake and finally boom! She erupted and not a single living thing on the island was survived. She them went to seek vengeance upon the world.

She arrived in Asia and as soon as she saw any sign of life, she fired lava. She already destroyed four countries like this, but news spread quickly like a wildfire and “Ice man” came to know about it. He knew Garitina had to be stopped.

So in a flash o he turned from human to Ice Man, the superhero, and went to stop the ferocious Goddess from destroying the earth. When he saw Garitina she had just destroyed a fifth country.

He said with absolute confidence “Garitina! Your reign of terror ends now and here!”

“Ha! Ha! Ha! You are no more than a puny worm,” Garitina replied with a menacing laugh.

Ice Man fired arrows of ice bit it did no difference to Garitina and she continued to shoot out lava. But Ice Man did not give up hope. He fired ice shards at her which only annoyed her, but that was just what Ice Man wanted. He then summoned frost giants to help him in the battle. One of them was as tall as Garitina (as the son of Yimir, god of Ice and frost giants and winter). They battled back and forth.

Garitina kept firing lava at them but they dogged it and kept breathing ice at her. When she looked like she would die, Ice Man said “Giants! Ice canon formation! Go!”

Garitina knew she was destroyed. So she released her final curse on mankind …… her children.

Then, boom Garitina was destroyed. But her children still take revenge and erupt at different places in the world when they are at full power.
