FAISALABAD: Fifteen (15) different link roads will be constructed in the district at a cost of Rs3 billion.

District Coordination Officer Noorul Ameen Mengal told Dawn the projects under the Faisalabad Link Road Development Programme are: from Sheikhupura Road to Jaranwala Road near Dhudiwala; Ismail Mosque Road to Maqbool Town till Pharng drain; Pull Maqbool Town to Narawala Road, Parco Road, Jhang Road to Rehmania Road, Malkhana Wala to Niamoana-Samudri Road, 66-feet Bazaar Mansoorabad, Thatha bridge to Jhumra Road railway crossing of Nighebanpura, Jaranwala Road to Sattiana Road, Dryport Road to Millat Road, Millat Road to Sargodha Road, Canala Road to Kashmir Road through Chak 204-RB, Sirwala Rajbah to Muridpur Road, Narawla Road to Jhang Road up to Chohla Pulli through Marzipura and Abdullah Bridge Samdunri Road to Risalewala Road through Sitara Colony.

He said the Provincial Development Working Party had also approved the project that would benefit the motorists by reducing the distance.

The Punjab government would provide 90 per cent funds of the project that would be completed under the monitoring of the Faisalabad Development Authority.
