KARACHI: Veteran Pakistan player Rashid Malik displayed breath-taking tennis to overcome Imran Ahmed in the 45-plus final while Iltifat Ahmed outplayed Zafar Hasan in the 55-plus final at the 20th edition of PSO Pakistan ITF world ranking championship which concluded at Karachi Gymkhana.

Meanwhile, Parsad Apte, the Indian player who participated in the championship, also left for India. Chief guest Khawaja Saeed Hai distributed the prizes among the winners.

He also praised the cooperation of Salim Saifullah, the leading candidate for the upcoming Pakistan Tennis Federation elections, for helping out the STA in organising this tournament besides getting sponsorship for the event.

Results:

45-plus singles final: Rashid Malik beat Imran Ahmed 6-3, 6-4.

55-plus singles final: Iltifat ahmed beat Zafar Hasan 6-4, 6-4.
