PCB: dual positions

Published November 4, 2014

THIS refers to reports about PCB Chairman Shaharyar M. Khan’s plan to decide on the dual and multiple jobs issue and the status of some officials holding dual positions in the PCB.

Several coaches and national selectors in the present set-up, including chief selector Moin Khan, his committee members Mohammad Akram, Ijaz Ahmed, Shoaib Mohammad, Saleem Yousuf and Wajahatullah Wasti, are all holding dual or, in some cases, even triple positions.

Junior chief selector Basit Ali and almost all members of the national junior selection committee are in the same category. And the interesting thing is, the board of governors has also a dual role. Mr Najam Sethi is also working for a TV channel and Shakeel Shaikh is also working for a media group.

The PCB should remove all the employees having dual positions.
