BAHAWALPUR: Islamabad Lions on Thursday won the inaugural match of Blind Super League, defeating Bahawalpur Falcons by eight wickets at the Dring Stadium here.

Bahawalpur Falcons scored 401 for four wickets, with Badar scoring 175 followed by Arsalan’s 67 and Afzal’s 48.

The Islamabad Lions replied with 402 for the loss of two wickets. Akram and Anis were the highest scorers with 170 and 132, respectively.

Badar was declared man of the match.

Earlier, speaking at the inaugural ceremony World Blind Cricket Council and Pakistan Blind Cricket Council chairman Syed Sultan Shah said BSL was being held in Pakistan for the first time.

He expressed the hope that International Blind Cricket Super League would also be held here.
