Making fun is not funny

THE story “Making fun is not funny” by Sadia Maqsood (YW, October 18, 2014), was a good reminder to all of us that we should know that we can easily hurt others by making fun of them. No one likes to be laughed at, and when we are teasing or making fun of someone, we should ask ourselves if we will like it when someone makes fun of us in the same way. Chances are that we will not be pleased, so we should also not do it to others.

Moreover, it is in bad taste to make fun of someone’s physical features or personality, so we should not do it at all. I would like to add that the story was written in a very nice way and through such a short story the writer was able to tell a very important message.

My dear school library

THIS is with reference to the article “My dear school library” by Syeda Armeen Nasim (YW, October, 18, 2014). A library is an important part of a school where we can study and find helpful reference books for our assignments. We should realise the importance of library and make the most of this facility.

THIS is with reference to the article “My dear school library” by Syeda Armeen Nasim. A library is a great place to gather information and students should make it a habit to study in the library.

The princess and the dragon

THIS is regarding the story “The princess and the dragon” by Ramla Yusuf (YW, October 18, 2014). The story was interesting to read and conveyed a very important message: the message of love. Love can change anything. We can make even a dangerous animal our friend by giving it love and care. I request the Young World team to continue publishing such thought-provoking stories.
