ISLAMABAD: Only a day after returning from the four-day official visit to China, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is now leaving for Berlin on Monday (tomorrow) for another official visit.
"Prime Minister Mohammad Nawaz Sharif is going to visit the Federal Republic of Germany from 10-11 November at the invitation of German Chancellor Angela Merkel,” said Tasneem Aslam spokesperson of Foreign Office in a statement.
Aslam said that during the visit, the Prime Minister would hold talks with Chancellor Merkel which will be followed by an official lunch.
He will then meet President of the German Bundestag (Parliament) and also address a business forum organised by the Pakistan Board of Investment, which is expected to be attended by a large number of German business executives and investors.
"Pakistan and Germany enjoy close and cordial relations. Germany is Pakistan’s fourth largest trading partner globally and the largest in the European Union.
Pakistan’s bilateral trade with Germany stands at US$ 2.5 billion annually. The two countries have strong collaboration in various other fields,” she said.

Unlike the burger class. I am very happy our PM is going abroad to attract investment. Zardari destroyed the amount of investment coming into Pakistan. NS is promoting a civilised and sophisticated Pakistan. After getting $30-50 billion from China people from Europe will be more willing to invest in Pakistan!! Inshallah NS and Ishaq Dar will continue their visits to Europe, Middle East and the US to attract investment.

Good. Now Nawaz is aware that all this dharma and march is not going to remove him. And it's time to work, else he won't win next election, in the given situation.
Another hardworking PM in the neighbourhood is giving him complex.its better to get going and achieve since Public has also raised the expectation in both countries. An Ideal situation for both countries to prosper. Even if there is a healthy competition amongst leaders to work more in the 2 countries, it's always a win-win situation for all.

Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Shariff is making waves.After a most successful China visit,he is now off to Germany to discuss wide-ranging matters with Frau Angela Merkel.Mian Nawaz should next think of improving relations with India,by discussing all topics including Jammu&Kashmir,and attempt to find a solution to the waxing and elusive problem in a spirit of co-operation and Give&Take.

Pakistan need strong ties with Germany and EU.
There are many areas that Pak can benefit from Germany e.g. Energy sector (solar, thermal, hydal), Medical equipments, Defence, Railways, Infrastructure etc.
PM Nawaz should try to avail this opportunity for building strong business relation with Germany.

We want accountability of every penny NS spend on foreign visits and also what benefit did they bring to Pakistan.
Expense reimbursements should be limited to economy class and basic 3 star hotel, if they want to spend more on these visits it should come out of their own pocket. We are heavily indebted can't afford these lavish fruitless trips abroad

My parents are of Pakistani origin and even they would not invest anything in Pakistan because of the system there. The lack of investment has nothing to do with dharnas. On the contrary, there is some hope that with these dharnas, the govt might b forced to take some steps in the right direction. Just ask yourself one simple question. Your own PM and FM who are blaming IK for the lack of investment in Pakistan have millions invested in other countries. What sort of message does this send to the foreign investors?

@Imran Altaf He is working on the basics. Musharraf didn't add 1 kw of electricity in 10 years of dictatorship. Nawaz Sharif has inked deals to overcome our energy problems in the next 5 years. He would have signed these same deals in Islamabad had the Chinese President not been scared away by Imran Khan's destabilizing anti Pakistan progress dharnas. Hopefully the German trip will bring some high technology and engineering investment for Pakistan. Great work Nawaz Sharif!

These foreign trips are at public expense and truly meant to boost family business. Majority of Pakistanis will continue to suffer on account of lawlessness, lack of jobs, food insecurity, lack of potable water, health care, water and gas but shoulder foreign loans to a a tune of Rs100,000 per head.

@Hoodwink , you are wrong. There is no jealousy. PM Modi was invited by German Chancellor Merkel long time back when he was elected as PM. NOt only that Merkel is coming to India next year beginning. All world leaders from UK to France, Germany, AUstralia, Japan, Norway, Switzerland, Canada, US, AND even CHina, etc had invited Modi long time when he was elected as PM. Not only that, Leaders from China, Australia, UK, FRance, USA, Canada, etc have all visited India when he was elected PM.
Its your own PM who got late invites and now he has one which shows the credibility of Pakistan in international community which is zero
