With the incredible success of Humsafar on India's Zee Zindagi, the drama's leading lady Mahira Khan has wooed her Indian fans and is now visiting Mumbai to meet them.
During media interactions in Delhi, Mahira was repeatedly asked the same questions: when she will work with heart throb Fawad again, and whether she will sign a Bollywood film.
The success of Humsafar in India, courtesy Zindagi TV, has won millions of hearts. Indian publications say the drama is a "breath of fresh air" and say it is a must watch due to the chemistry between Fawad and Mahira.
Humsafar had its finale on November 8 on Zee Zindagi and the channel has now hosted a competition on its Twitter account called #MadforMahira in which fans are asked to express their appreciation and love for the actor to get a chance to meet the stunning star in Mumbai.
The channel also tweeted that Mahira has reached Mumbai and has attended the Zindagi press conference:
The Sadqay Tumhare actor is currently in the spotlight of her Indian followers in Mumbai and has also expressed gratitude for the love and admiration she has received from her fans in India.
Sarmad Sultan Khoosat’s record breaking serial Humsafar was first aired on Hum TV in 2012. The much-loved onscreen couple of the heartthrob Fawad Khan and the stunning Mahira Khan were lauded by viewers in Pakistan, and later even in India.
Indian fans have already seen Fawad alongside Sanam Saeed in Zindagi Gulzar Hai and also in his Bollywood debut film Khoobsurat. However, Mahira made her debut in India with Humsafar and fans instantly fell in love with the talented star.
India's newest venture Zindagi TV treats viewers to the best of new-age Pakistani TV dramas on offer. It has previously aired Zindagi Gulzar Hai and Durre Shehwar (renamed Dhoop Chaon) starring Samina Peerzada.
The famous Hum TV tele-film Behud starring Nadia Jamil and Fawad Khan was also recently aired on Zindagi.
Fahad Mustafa’s Mastana Mahi and Mehwish Hayat’s Mirat-ul-Uroos (renamed Aaina Dulhan Ka), which are currently airing in India, are also getting positive reviews from the Indian audience.

The best thing I liked about Hamsafar was, besides the leading pair, the powerful dialogues. That was especially, when at the end, the hero picks up enough courage to confront his mother with the sort of dialogues which we can not believe to be in real life families. Can it be so ? On the whole, a totally enjoyable drama serial.

@Safdar...lots of Indian actors have been to Pakistan including Amir Khan, Naseeruddin Shah, Om Puri and many others and some of them have also wished to...Unfortunately the situation in Pakistan is not very favourable currently and I don't blame them...We Pakistani public are die hard fans of all Bollywood actors and love and admire them as much as Indians do.
I hope with political stability in Pakistan, they will be happy to come here as well.

I first watched Mahira the artist in Pakistani movie "Bol". Somehow i had a feeling that one day she will act in Bollywood movies. Wishing all the best to this artist from Pakistan. Hope she does some good work in India and make her folks back home proud.
But why is she so thin? Inko Dilli ki 'parathey wali Gali' le ja kar ...khana khilao. Punjabi kudian inni patlee...achhi ni lagdi.

Aishwarya Rai is South Indian for eg and is fair, Karishma and Kareena are also fair but come from a different part. Dont be so simplistic as to assume all fair or dark skinned people come from one group or the other. Light or dark skin is not the deciding factor for being good looking either. So who cares what colour this ladies's skin is??

Mahira Khan's role in Hamsafar was over acted, and this drama was waaaay too depressing. Her performance in the Pakistani award winning movie " BOL" was far more evolved.
Mahira should actually try for roles in Hollywood where there are quite a few new serials about Pakistan and the Mid East which would suit her well considering she lived in the USA, attending college in California.

Why is my country obsessed with fair Pakistanis? Why do we follow traditional models of what constitutes "prettiness?" White skin is not the only thing worth having. There are tons of beautiful south Indian actors, why don't we hire them, for once? Sadly, we have such an inferiority complex and we are so fixated on Pakistan's "beauty" that we don't focus on our own beauty, which exists in different forms.

Serials shown were exceptionally made and actors did pretty good job, so they are being admired, that is a good thing. If they are admired for their color, India does not have any shortage of fair skinned people as well but why Deepika or Viday Balan are doing so well.?

Pakistani TV serials are better in almost every aspect than Indian ones. Although one can notice financial strain on producers of serials by finding characters wearing same clothes in different serials . It seems to me that outfit is not being provided by production houses instead actors/actress use their own outfit. Still quality of story line, sequencing , acting quality displayed by actors/actors are superb. In Indian serials, extravagant display of wealth,attire,vehicle houses are central theme and story line and acting prowess become secondary. Never ending saga of vamp/villains death and reincarnation,main story losing it's streak, are very common irritant which kills the real entertainment.

Humsafar was record breaking drama. Back in 2012 I helplessly miss every fresh episode due to classes or time clash, "can't wait till repeat" I used to watch on my phone with 2G network which usually takes 3 hours to buffer one episode.

The role which he got, not even a b-grade actor like Imran Hashmi would do because of it length and content. So he got to do it. And here goes another bad new the paki king khan could not get a second role despite being "so popular", now that he is producing a film for himself.
