Five new polio cases reported

ISLAMABAD: The Polio Virology Laboratory at the National Institute of Health confirmed five more polio cases on Wednesday, taking the total number of cases reported this year to 243.

An official said two cases were reported from Fata and one each from Khyber Pakh­tunkhwa, Balochistan and Sindh.

Two polio-infected children belong to Khyber Age­n­cy in Fata, one each from Mardan, Killa Abdullah (Balochistan) and Bin Qasim Town Karachi, he said.
