QUETTA: Militants fired a rocket on Friday targeting the residence of Nawab Sanaullah Zehri, the provincial leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) in Balochistan's Khuzdar district.

Levies sources told Dawn.com that the rocket landed almost 400 meters away from Zehri's residence in Anjeera area.

A loud and powerful explosion was heard far and wide after the rocket attack, which caused panic in the area.

"No lives or financial loss has been reported," levies said.

Police, levies and personnel of other law enforcement agencies reached the spot and started an investigation into the incident.

Levies stated that no arrests were made in the aftermath of the rocket attack. There was also no immediate claim of responsibility.

This incident has come hours after two people, including security personnel, were injured in a blast targeting a Frontier Corps (FC) vehicle in Sariab road area of Quetta.
