MARDAN: A family of Mady Baba area here has demanded of the Peshawar High Court chief justice, chief minister and police chief to order action against the SHO of Takhtbai police station for his alleged support to their rivals.

Speaking at a press conference here on Saturday, two brothers, Afsar Khan and Qaiser Khan along with women and children said that they had a long running dispute with their cousins over 24-kanals of land.

They said that they had moved a court for getting their share in the land and the latter had ruled the case in their favour in 2009, and finally the land was transferred to them in 2014.

However, they said that afterwards their rivals, Mumtaz, Alamzeb and Nazir allegedly suffocated to death their 3-year-old niece after kidnapping her in June 2014. They said that after registering FIR the Takhtbai police arrested all the three alleged killers, but soon released them on bail on court orders owing to poor investigation.
