LAHORE: Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) Emir Sirajul Haq has urged the government to end political tension in the country by resuming talks with the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI), arguing that in case of confrontation, the whole political process can be wiped out.

A statement quoted him as saying here on Friday that the efforts he had made for a dialogue between the ruling PML-N and the opposition PTI were sincere and in the larger interest of the country.

He said he would announce his roadmap for an “Islamic Pakistan” at the mausoleum of Quaid-i-Azam on Dec 25.
