RAWALPINDI:  After a quarrel with the attendants of an injured police official, ward boys of Benazir Bhutto Hospital on Friday staged a protest and damaged a police post.

The protest was so intense that the hospital administration had to call the police to control the situation.

First the rival parties exchanged hot words, which was followed by a melee.

Later, the ward boys gathered outside the police post established in the hospital and started pelting it with stones.

As a result, the window glasses of the police post were smashed and its staff had to run for the safety.

Later, nearly 25 ward boys gathered outside the police post and staged a protest.

When the Waris Khan police SHO Malik Allah Yar was contacted, he said police had by been sent to Benazir Bhutto Hospital.
