QUETTA: Five people, two women among them, lost their lives in incidents of targeted killing, grenade attack and suffocation in Quetta and Khuzdar.

According to police sources, men on motorcyclists hurled a hand-grenade at a police checkpost on the Khuzdar national highway in Zero Point area.

The grenade exploded inside the post, killing a constable and injuring a sepoy.

A man and a woman were gunned down by unidentified attackers in Dehba area on the outskirts of Quetta on Saturday.

In Usman road area of Quetta, policeman Rashid Ahmed and his wife Noor Bibi died at their home of suffocation caused by leak from gas supply.

Meanwhile, two bombs exploded in Hazarganji area and Sariab road area. However, no one was injured in the incidents.
