SUKKUR: Activists of almost all national, religious and nationalist parties and trade bodies took out a big rally on Sunday under the banner of Sukkur Development Alliance, demanding basic rights for people.

The rally started from the Ghousia Mosque and after marching through different roads reached the Clock Tower roundabout where participants held a sit-in.

The representatives of PML-N, PML-F, PTI, Jamaat-i-Islami, Jamiat Ulema-i-Pakistan, Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz, Sunni Tehreek, Sukkur Shehri Ittehad and small traders said that since 1988, the elected public representatives of Sukkur had been responsible for the city’s problems.
