KARACHI: The three-day boxing event of the commissioner Karachi Lyari sports and peace festival begins at Ustad Abdullah Baloch boxing stadium Peoples Sports Complex on Friday with 83 young pugilist competing for honours.

According to organising secretary, Asghar Baloch, 49 boxers have entered in boys category while 34 will feature in juniors.

He said the weigh in of boxers was held in six weights for boys and four for juniors on Thursday.

The pre quarter-finals and quarter-finals will be held on the opening day.
