Ranking tennis from Jan 3

ISLAMABAD: The Pakis­tan Tennis Federation (PTF) is organising the first Kulsum Saifullah Khan National Ranking Tennis Champion­ships from Jan 3 to 9, 2015 at the Dilawar Abbas PTF Tennis Centre in Islamabad.

This was announced by PTF president Salim Saifullah Khan on Sunday.

Total prize money for the championships is Rs300,000. The events to be contested at the championships include men’s singles, ladies singles, junior U-18 singles, boys U-14 singles, boys U-12 singles, men’s doubles, seniors 45-plus doubles and seniors 55-plus doubles.

According to an announcement, a daily allowance of Rs600 will be given to each singles player in the main draw until elimination. This allowance will be paid to the players from the day of their first match — qualifying or main draw.

Moreover, travelling allowance in the form of an economy class railway ticket will be given to all outstation players featuring in the main draw.

Fee for entry into the championships is Rs300 per player per event.

However, all coaches, ballboys and sons and daughters of coaches are exempted from the entry fee (one event only).

Candidates can contact the referee (on 03335158971) or at pktenfed@comsats.net.pk latest by Dec 30.

All players are advised to bring two passport-size photos for Pakistan Players Identification Number (PPIN) and ‘B’ form or CNIC copy.

All outstation players are instructed to bring an entry letter from their respective provincial tennis association/department to become eligible for daily allowance and travelling allowance.
