Christians around the world, celebrate Christmas Day, a holiday commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ. This year the celebrations in Pakistan have been toned down out of respect for Peshawar victims. The simple celebrations began on Christmas Eve with prayer services in the churches. The festivities will include distributing gifts among children, singing hymns, prayers, and attending Mass.

We should become more democratic and allow other religions as well to prosper in our country. Our land was owned by great Hindu/Buddist kings once upon a time and we should invite them back and spend money in re-constructing temple/montesseries/pagodas. I know many of my brothers and sisters will not like my comment... but my approach is good for the country.

What Christmas celebrations yaar. Christians have been pushed to the slums and get the lowest paid jobs. Anytime a lynch mob can come down on the slums and burn their homes down. So christmas kia keray yaar?

It is good media has created awareness of other main stream religions but more importantly learn to respect it. It is important that media is able to portray intertwining of three mono thesis religion.

Compare this with Christmas Celebrations pics from India, specially Goa, you will know the difference. It seems Christians are limited to slums in Pakistan !

@Dr Aziz : While appreciating your sentiment, do note that Hindu / Buddhist "kings" relinquished their thrones and temporal powers to wander into the forests, take Lords Ram/Pandavas/Buddha etc. We ordinary people only need to cultivate tolerance for one another.
