HYDERABAD: The Hyderabad Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) on Thursday announced the result of Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSC) part-I annual examination 2014 for general science, pre-engineering and pre-medical groups.

According to a gazette notification, total 731 candidates, including 246 girls, appeared in the general science examination. Of them, 219 candidates, including 76 girls, were declared successful in all the six papers. The result of 21 students was withheld by BISE for one or other reason.

In the pre-engineering group, total 15,959 candidates, including 1,965 girls appeared in the exam.

Of them, 9,069, including 1,259 girls, were declared successful in all papers. The result of 818 students was withheld for various reasons.

Total 21,095 candidates, including 11,063 girls, appeared in the examination of pre-medical. Out of them, 15,286 candidates, including 8,838 girls, were declared successful in all six papers. The board has withheld the result of 687students.
