How to focus when studying

THIS is with reference to the cover story “How to focus when studying” by Naveed Fayyaz (YW, November 29, 2014).

It was a wonderful and interesting article. The writer explained how we can focus and avoid distractions while studying. The ‘exercises to improve concentration,’ was a great addition to the article.

Cat tales

FROM quite a few weeks, I have noticed that Young World is not carrying “Cat tales” which is a good change because it was getting too boring. However, I would like to suggest to the YW team to carry ‘Pet tales,’ in which dogs, turtles, parrots, fish, spiders and various other pet animals could be covered. I personally know many people who own different pets other than cats, so I think readers would be glad to read unique information regarding these animals. Also, it would be a nice addition to the magazine.

Winter festivals around the world

THIS is with reference to the cover story “Winter festivals around the world” compiled by Benazir Raz Soomro (YW, December 20, 2014). I would like to thank the writer and the magazine for providing us with great knowledgably articles.

Of course, we don’t know about other cultures and various festivities that take around the globe, so by sorting and compiling them for us is really a big effort that Young World is doing for us. I appreciate the YW team to keep on updating us about different cultures and traditions around the world.

Where did these words come from?

THIS is with reference to the cover story “Where did these words come from?” compiled by Ambreen Arshad (YW, December 13, 2014). Reading about the origins of some particular words was very interesting and informative too. I am always excited to see the cover stories of the YW. They are always wonderful and cover amazing topics that no other children’s magazine of our country does.

I would like to thank the YW for putting their efforts in bringing out such a lovely magazine for us.

Website review

THIS is regarding the regular column of website review in Young World. This column has boosted up YW from mediocre to phenomenal. There was this website that kept us updated with global news and there was this other website which helped us to send give a greeting to someone by using various places in the world as letters. This column has helped me discover many wonderful websites that have helped me immensely in various fields.

This column really is a very nice way of sharing with each other, helpful websites and I personally believe that more columns that help the young people in their daily life should be promoted and included in this magazine.

How to increase your IQ

THIS is with reference to the advice “How to increase your IQ” by Naresh Kumar (YW, December 20, 2014). I found the article very thoughtful and straightforward.

It was written in simple English which was very easy to understand. It was very fascinating and informative. I would suggest to the writer to write more articles on topics like this one so that readers can enhance their knowledge.

Secret files

THIS is with reference to Secret files by O.A. I would like to request that instead of having any comic hero’s poster and information, there should be a teen celebrity poster in the centre. It would not only look great, as the superheroes posters are not attractive, but will also be more interesting as more people like to know about celebrities. We can also use this section like a pinup on our room’s wall.
