PTI dissident to form new party

RAWALPINDI: A Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) dissident has announced that she is launching her own party to make a ‘new’ Pakistan.
Hina Manzoor, former Punjab north secretary general and PTI candidate for NA-54 in the 2013 elections, claimed that many other dissidents would be joining her party.
“The homework for the launch of Front National (FN) has been done. Many people from the PTI will join us,” she told Dawn.

Ms Manzoor resigned from the post after Imran Khan suspended 10 office-bearers from Punjab north and Rawalpindi district for beating his nephew Ahmed Niazi during the sit-in outside Parliament House in November.
“I resigned from the party due to a major shift in the ideology and political structure of the party. I had no choice but to resign. Now we have registered a new political party.”
She added: “We will not work to derail democracy and topple any elected government but provide a platform to the people to raise voice for their rights and give them an educated leadership.”
She said they were not in a hurry to bring a change in the country. As a first step, she added, the new party would strengthen its organisational structure while ensuring to follow the rules and regulations which the PTI was lacking as it wanted to form its government by all means.
She said corrupt politicians had also joined the PTI and detracted it from its ideology. Now there is no difference between the party led by Imran Khan and other political parties in the country.
However, the PTI Punjab north secretary general, Zahid Kazmi, told Dawn that no party worker or local leader would join other parties as they were united under the leadership of Imran Khan.
“In the 2013 elections, the PTI candidates got votes in the name of Imran Khan and his ideology to bring a change in the country. The people will again vote for Imran Khan,” he said.
He said after leaving the PTI, Ms Manzoor had the right to join other parties or form her own party. “But let me make it clear that there is no rift in the party and all the workers accept the decisions of Imran Khan.”
He said the PTI was the only party in the country which mobilised the youth and provided a space to reputed politicians.

What does the phrase new Pakistan really mean. It's the same old people trying to fool the masses. If there is ever going to be a new Pakistan, it has to come from youth who have no political baggage and are honest and not corrupt. Current lot of politicians will change nothing, people should realize zero that. Even Imran Khan will not be able to bring changes because he has same old corrupt people from other parties in PTI now.

One more breakaway group jumping into political arena with an usual promise to Repair, Renovate and Recondition Pakistan! May God Bless us all! Should not Pakistan be Awarded some sort of Prize (such as the Nobel) for having so many political parties and its breakaway groups!

? people vote for Imran Khan not PTI as a team? This is the same approach in PML (N) where it is thought people vote for NS and in PPP where it is thought people vote for BB family. These major parties still call themselves democratic.

It is pretty habitual in our country anyone who leaves a party or becomes a dissident seems bent on to go and create their own party. Most of them just to be in the political arena still knowing their own unknown political status. Looking at the dissident lot still loitering around I would suggest the new dissident to please first clean up your own political stature then put your feet into the new shoe.

@Faisal, the same can be said of any political party in Pakistan. The only difference is that there no family involved, like the Sharifs, the Bhuttos/Zardaris, Wali khan and many others.
PTI, Jamat-e-Islami and MQM are parties without any family involvement

It is strange that with such and petty people leave and to format their parties which are already too many in the countrywide obviouslywill bot give any part clear majority to format government. Unity is strenght but one man party concept hurting democrasy Won't favor it in long run. Anyways good luck hope Pti will not compromise in keeping it's core ideology and agenda of transparency and struggle against corruption and even if in the process few leaves then more will come and join to replace them.

PTI, just like PMLN and PPP, is a personality driven party. None of these parties have much depth nor vision. As soon as the personality fades or is removed, the party implodes and all the minions and followers scatter.
