I think they are going to resettle, recover from this, come back and hit very hard. This is not ending any time soon with military courts or whatever else and that would be a last straw.

I hope someone takes notice of their plight! How beautiful are those kids, they need care, education, love and a good place to live. Why can't there be a temporary rehabilitation where the kids at least are taken care of and elders given some kind of jobs til they return back to their home! Is it impossible!

The oil rich countries (OPEC) needs to do more to help these refugees. They should give 1% of their oil revenue for humanitarian relief work in Pakistan

IDPs from FATA & KPK and Afghan refugees there is one thing common amongst them beside being homeless i.e. they are Pashtuns. Being a Pashtun myself it is particularly sad. I hope our leaders eradicate terrorism from completely and take concrete steps to ensure prosperous future for all suffering. The big steps in this regard will be:
1) Make FATA a settled area, get rid of FCR, provide presence of state law and order agencies i.e. police and courts so that it no longer remains backwaters for destructive elements to take hold.
2) Grant Pakistan citizenships to those who are settled in Pakistan and would like to stay here. Uprooting people who have lived here for close to 40 years will be unfair.

Any govt. has guts to send these unthankful Afghani refugees now - thanks to Zia. Pakistan has it own IDP problem to tackle - why in the word, no govt. is returning these unthankful mortals back - IDP vote - these unthankful mortals don't. WHEN ANY GOVT. WILL LEARN .

I cannot imagine the plight of these kids and their parents.. Imagine a parent crying inside his/her heart about not being able to give their kids enough food, water, good education or enough clothes... Every time there is a story of a blast, terror attack or any disaster hundreds of kids also suffer from the impact.. This is for all the kids around the world, not just Pak or India, not just Arab countries but around the world... End of the day we all are fighting in the name of borders and petty differences and is missing out on the real problem around us, the children, poverty, good education, clean water, enough food and a roof above their head at night. I don't think these things should be too much to ask for

@S.Malik : Good thought. But that relief fund received from oil rich countries will be used by landlords and rich elites of the Pakistan for their presonal use.
