Eggs-traordinary!

HAVE you ever come across two yolk egg? Maybe not because it’s rare! But for Michelle Fiddler things got weirder one morning when she was more than surprised by defying one in a billion odds to crack four double yolker eggs in her breakfast pan.

Michelle from Liverpool told: “It was a Sunday morning and I was making poached eggs for breakfast for me and my other half, and we were down to the last four free range eggs in the pack.

“The other two eggs had been normal — so it was just chance it was these four left.

“I’ve had the odd double yolker before but nothing like this. I was surprised, but when it went online and my friends commented, I realised quite how amazing it was.”

A spokesman for the British Egg Information Service said: “The double yolks tend to come from younger chickens whose hormone systems are not fully developed yet. The chances of getting a double yolk are estimated to be less than one in a thousand, so this is pretty rare.”

Meet VIP cats

DID you know that there are some cats that are richer than a lot of people? The answer is these cats are pets of rich people who post pictures of their beloved feline surrounded by cash and other luxury items on a particular website.

The website Cashcats.biz is the brainchild of Brooklyn-based digital marketer Will Zweigart who told, “It’s very diverse. I definitely get a lot of submissions from people who work in ‘cash only industries’, if you will.

Will said: “One of the most fun aspects of the project is how varied the submissions are from a geographic perspective — every continent except Antarctica is represented. “I can’t even count all of the countries and types of currencies featured. Only about five per cent of several thousand submitted photos end up making the site. Consider the site like an exclusive VIP room for high net worth felines.

And according to Will, the feedback on the site has been overwhelmingly positive.

A racing suit for camels!

IF you are a fan of camel racing then you should know camel races will never be the same again!

Lycra-style outfits have been designed to help camels go faster in races in the Middle East. And the company who made them really hope they will help camel owners not get the hump over slower times.

Anne Wolter, a partner at the firm who created the suits said: “The full body suit can help racing camels run faster, while the cream of the species entered into camel beauty contests will have the ability to stand taller after using the suit.”

Camel breeder Sultan Al Ketbi, who is already using the suits said: “In such a competitive sport it can give you the edge you need.”

The outfits are primarily designed for wearing during transport — when camels typically lose a lot of weight due to stress hormones working overtime.

Need power nap? the ostrich pillow!

EVERY other day, various gadgets appear in the market putting customers in total disbelief! Perhaps the ostrich pillow is one of those weird gadgets that will make you baffled.

The gadget comes in handy if you are sleepy at the airport, train station, office, library or any other place where lying down is impossible.

Ostrich pillow, which looks really funny to me at least, enables a person to take easy power naps anytime, everywhere. Its unique (or rather funny) design helps create a little private space within a public one, just to relax and unwind for a short break, without needing to leave your desk, chair, bench or wherever you may be. Rest anywhere!
