After Bashar Momin proved to be yet another feather in his cap, lead character Faysal Qureshi is now all set to appear in ARY Digital's Aashiq Hussain. The versatile actor will be returning to television next month of February 26 when his much awaited new drama goes on air.

Donning a different look from the slick, suave lead he played in Bashar Momin, the actor shares, "It's a fun role which is a 1,000 times different from any of the other characters I have portrayed.

"My character, Aashiq Hussain hails from a fairly low-income family. On the surface, he leads a simple life with his wife and six kids. However, you soon learn that he is hiding a second marriage from them. True to his name, Aashiq sahab wears his heart on his sleeve and can impulsively decide to get married at any time."

He quickly adds, "Even though Aashiq will realise the consequences of his actions much later in the show, he's not a negative character. He's just adorable with harmless intentions."

Known for choosing plots that make viewers ponder over moral conundrums, Qureshi says Aashiq Hussain is a light-hearted, social drama with an interesting plot. "It will make them laugh but it will also make them cry," says Qureshi.

In this video uploaded by Big Bang Entertainment, Faisal reiterates that the stellar script is what forced him to be a part of the project:

Aashiq Hussain's cast will include Saima, Zhalay, Neelam Munir and newcomer Maha (of Doosri Biwi fame). Saleem Mairaj, Saboor, Momal Khalid, Rayed, Salahuddin Tunio and Faisal's mother, Afshan Qureshi will also be seen in supporting roles. Anjum Shehzad will be donning the director's cap while the show has been written by Sana Fahad.

Qureshi also recently launched mobile phone application and created a Soundcloud account to keep fans constantly in the loop regarding developments in his career.
