QUETTA: A landmine explosion killed a military officer and injured two personnel on Sunday evening in Balochistan's Naseerabad district.

Police sources said the military officer who was killed in the blast was identified as an Frontier Corps (FC) captain.

Police sources said FC personnel were on routine patrol when their vehicle hit by a landmine.

They said the incident happened in Balochistan's Chathar area of Naseerabad district.

Two FC personnel were seriously wounded in the blast which also destroyed the vehicle they were traveling in.

The injured personnel were rushed to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
