KARACHI: Two teenage qualifiers — M. Hammad and Oan Abbas, both from Punjab — produced awesome performance while upsetting seeded players to advance into under-15 quarter-finals of the Champion Hunt Initiative Programme for Squash (CHIPS) at the PN Roshan Khan-Jahangir Khan squash complex on Monday.

While Hammad disposed of Sindh’s Bilal Islam 11-6, 11-8, 11-4, Oan shocked third seed Junaid Khan of the PAF 11-3, 11-6, 11-7 to sneak into the last eight.

Meanwhile other seeded players were through to the next round by winning their matches with style.
