LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz (PML-N) leader Hamza Shahbaz on Wednesday criticised Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) for wanting to contest the upcoming Senate elections despite considering parliament a “no-go zone”.
Speaking to reporters after a visit to a children’s hospital in Lahore, the MNA said he fails to understand PTI Chairman Imran Khan's temperament.
Hamza said Imran tends to change his statement regarding Senate elections in spite of boycotting assemblies and is gearing up for Upper House elections.
The PTI leadership on Saturday announced that it will contest elections for the Senate. It has also that the party will contest only from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and will boycott from the rest of the three provincial and national assemblies.
According to one participant of the meeting convened on Tuesday to discuss modalities for PTI’s participation in the election, some party leaders expressed their reservations over the party’s decision to contest elections for the upper house of parliament only from KP.
Following the official announcement, the PTI is finally going to become part of the same parliament that Mr Khan protested against and derided for the 126 days of his sit-in outside Parliament House.
The PTI hopes to win five to six Senate seats from the KP.

This is unnecessary clamoring of PMLN leadership. PTI has its constitutional right to contest Senate elections from wherever they like. PMLN is worried that PTI will bag enough seats from KP Assembly...These people are scared from PTI representation in the Senate for the first time.

Oh, how the news rolls in. These plots and counter plots would make for a good novel, including lots of colorful detail, history, a cricket star and his beautiful wife, slight of hand politics and a train load of different characters. The climax of the novel will be a political showdown. The cricket star is the protagonist facing a handful of antagonists including sinister turbaned men with beards, high ranking army officers, smugglers, unscrupulous political workers, rich and greedy landlords, industrials in their Islamabad mansions and high society women up to no good.

Seems that PML-N is frightened about PTI fighting Senate elections. PNL-N were hoping that PTI will probably boycott which will give them more Senate seats. Dreamingggggggggggggggggg as usual because the upcoming elections will be closely monitored for election fraud thus PML-N will not be able to cheat like they did in 2013 elections. Furthermore, former Chief Justice Chaudhry is no longer in the hot seat thus fiddling is less likely.
