Pakistani stars have presented touching tributes to the victims of the Army Public School in Peshawar in various forms of art and one such artist is Ali Zafar.

A little over a month since the heinous attack, the singer united the film fraternity on one common platform in the video of his song, Urain Ge (We Will Fly), which aired today on ARY Digital, ARY Musik and ARY Zindagi simultaneously.

The song, which may become the anthem for hope for our nation, features many famous celebrities from all facets of the media. The stars who came together for the video include Bushra Ansari, Fawad Khan, Hamza Ali Abbasi, Aamina Sheikh, Humayun Saeed, Behroz Sabzwari, Saba Qamar, Fahad Mustafa,Sajjad Ali, Ali Azmet, Shoaib Malik, Meesha Shafi, Imran Abbas, Bilal Lashari, Marina Khan, Javed Sheikh, Humaima Malick among others.

The video has been directed by Bilal Khan and the poignant lyrics have been penned by Zafar himself.

The lyrics for the song are:

Urain ge us aasman mein,

Rahainge aisay jahaan mein,

Jahaan dard ka koi maara na ho,

Akaila na ho be-sahara na ho,

Koi maa say bichara dulaara no ho,

Siva ishq kay koi chaara na ho.

Talking about being a part of the video, Bushra Ansari shares:

"When Ali called, I was so grateful to him. It gave me an outlet for the grief I felt. Being a media personality, if we go out on the streets, the attention shifts from important issues to people wanting to take selfies. I mourned in silence until now. I am so proud of Ali to provide us with this avenue for self-expression and to unite us as a nation."

Jackson Heights actress Aamina Sheikh says, "It was amazing to be part of this initiative. We came together as a fraternity for a good cause and we got to send out a message of hope and positivity to the nation in one, undivided voice."

Humaima Malick felt proud to be a part of this tribute and said, "The message of unity and hope portrayed in the song couldn't be presented more aptly, as done by Ali Zafar, calling everyone from the industry and putting forth an awakening call collectively."

Actor Imran Abbas stressed that initiatives taken in the right direction should be commended. "This tribute should serve as a memory of the beautiful souls we lost that dreadful day," he said.

"What really made me happy was the fact that I got to raise my opinion regarding this tragedy. I was devastated upon hearing the news of this sad incident and couldn't cope with the number of young minds we had lost.

"The sight and the thought were both unbearable. The nation, however, did unite; stronger than ever and we vow to eradicate this menace from our society. We say, no more!" Imran said.

Many of the stars involved also took to social media to express their sentiments and tell the nation about their involvement:

Veteran actor Behroz Sabzwari revealed: "I am truly honoured to be a part of this project. May God fulfill Ali's vision, and may we always retain the strength to fight back terrorism as a nation collectively."

Ali plans to take his video to the Army Public School and meet the students and parents.

The proceeds from his music will go to help charities in building academic institutions and promoting education in Pakistan, he said, talking to the BBC.
