Once again beautiful pictures , thanks to Dawn ! There is no coverage about debates and cultural program that was held in the the Karachi Literature Festival . In India each author has separate identity like pro communist , pro congress ,pro BJP ,pro dalits etc and their speeches and views are always politically motivated and hence common people least bothered about it .

Hats off to OUP for such mega literary event, it's like a fresh breeze every year, brings smiles on so many literature fans' faces however this time unfortunately I saw less authors and more actors, anchors and singers in Klf , it used to be exclusively for writers. I think it's getting into all this commercial stream like all other things in Pakistan.

With all due respect to the authors, Arts and culture definitely has its place however we should put more emphasis on Pakistani modern science/mathematical/computer science literature as that is the need of the hour (in my humble opinion).

It is a serious concern that as performing arts an Indian influenced dance performance was displayed. Which was not indigenous to Pakistans identity while hundreds of traditional dances could have represented Pakistan correctly. I hope that the organizing body will understand the importance of Pakistans own identity as a nation and not (unintentionally) play a role in promoting the already troubling indianization in side Pakistan. Please know that people are noticing it

Thru these photographs I fee that KLF was in reality a "NAPA" festival. Film, Cinema, Television, Dance, Music. Where is literature?

Amazing annual event. I felt Art and Literature in the Air ! Those, who did not attend this event, Plz, do not pass sweeping statements based on few pics.
Though, I feel these there could have been more varied selection of PICs e.g. sessions of Intizar Hussain, Mustansir Hussain Tarrar, Asghar Nadeem Syed, Book Launches, Masterpieces of Amin GulGe etc. etc.
