American singer and songwriter, Lady Gaga will be making her Oscars debut on February 22, reported USA Today.

The singer tweeted:

According to People, the details on what she'll be performing are still under wraps, but the producers of the 87th annual Academy Awards, Craig Zadan and Neil Meron, are expecting a spectacular performance.

"Lady Gaga is a once-in-a-lifetime artist whose musical evolution keeps growing. We are proud to have her perform on the Oscars for the very first time," they said in a statement.

Zadan tweeted that she will be involved in a “a very special performance.”

Meron also tweeted a selfie of their meeting with the singer:

According to Time, the Oscars will also feature a "special performance" by Jack Black, Anna Kendrick and Jennifer Hudson.
