Man dies in firing by Iranian guards

GWADAR: A man belonging to Bal Negore area of Kech died and another suffered injuries when Iranian border guards opened fire, reports reaching said on Friday.

The incident took place in the Iranian province of Sistan-Baluchestan, bordering Makran.

According to Levies officials, the two men had crossed over to Iranian side to find work when border guards spotted them and opened fire.

Levies officials confirmed the incident and said the deceasad was identified as Momin, son of Ibrahim, and the injured as Atta, son of Noor Mohammad.

Later, Atta was sent to Karachi for treatment.
