Well another India Pakistan match, congratulations to India, commiserations for Pakistan. And besides cricket, a big applause also for Misbahul Haq on how he diffused tension between Sohail Khan and virat Kohli. An aggravation of situation on ground would have an impact on passionate fans off the ground. Politicians on both sides should learn from Misbah on how to manage difficult emotions and maintain calm. Hats off to players of both countries for trying their best and bearing the burden of expectations of 1.5billion people. Thanks, An Indian cricket Fan.

You are being too harsh on him. Misbah's batting effort was pure tenacity. From our end, his dismissal was a relief.

It has been a talk about strong Indian Batting versus strong Pakistani bowling. Looks like India's batting is superior to Pakistan's bowling given that they scored 300 runs! On the same lines Indian bowlers are better than Pakistani batsmen conceding only 224 runs.. I see that Paksitan has made a losing a habit...and that does not augur well.

Whatever I have seen of Misbah, I feel he plays too slow. Why is he in ODI team? And for how long will Afridi be the only hope for PCB. It's sad to see very good bowling side lose badly because of ver bad batting.

@Azi: Why do Pak fans hate Misbah is beyond me. He is the only one in the side to have some maturity and patience. He plays proper responsible cricketing shots and doesn't get out to some rash manufactured slogs like the rest of the others. He lacks support at the other end.

Today Pakistan had a great chance to outpost India's 301 considering out so called mediocre attack. I believe Pakistani batsman were done in due to their immaturity and hurry to finish the game. Indian batsman shown how to build an innings. 6-0 is just result. Pakistan have to rebuilt their confidence and fight for another day.

Pakistani current team is the best we have
But lacks high quality attack bowling and batting is mediocre
Should not loose heart and focus on the next game
Need to get Asad Shafiq back in place of Younis
Desperately needs Saeed Ajmal back in team to improve the spin attack!

Misbah is sheer class. indian bowlers had no clue to get his wicket. As long as Afridi and Misbah were there Pakistan had chance. I would however say Aridi is the most overrated player and PAk persists with future hope that he never delivers. he can hit quick fire few odd sixes and that's it.

My brother, one of the reasons I do not care for Indo Pak fixtures is because they are invariably preceded and followed by so much vitriol, venom, jingoism, and the inordinate amount of vicariousness. The casualty becomes the game itself. Very people remember the game, the rest remember the result. A few generations from now people from both nations will look at the past sixty five years and call it the Dark Ages, where their ancestors had not evolved.
The teams need to play the game, and not the rivalry. Peace my brother.

The cricket rivalry between India and Pakistan should be friendly and no hostility or politics should influence it. Then only losing will be taken in its stride as part of the game and not considered a national humiliation.Pakistan team has a better wining record against India but in the world cup they are under too much pressure to win and that affects their performance otherwise they are wining team.

Pretty good game of cricket and equally nicely captured through the lenses - Thank you. I agree with most the comments that Misabh is probably the best player and the best man to lead the team; it's always so good to see him building his inning and being the back bone of the Pak middle order - I also agree that Afridi is overrated. Also, let the game be a game I guess both sides put their teams under a lot of pressure unnecessarily. And yes, I do like Dawn, please keep up the good work.

Please don't curse Mizba , I was some distance away watching the match in Adelaide stadium. If you have to curse please curse others. Mizba couldn't have done any thing when he kept losing support one after the other. He can only be commended for narrowing the loss. Younus Khan and Umar Akmal have outlived there stay in the team. They are now more a liability than blessing. We were ashamed of dismal performance of the team as whole. I for one would not go to any matches featuring this team in the rest of the World Cup events. I had purchased all tickets featuring Pakistani . I am willing to donate all , but there are no takers atleast for now in Adelaide.

Pakistan has always had many talented & great players, but rarely do they all gel well together as a team. I wonder why? Is it personalities & ego's clashing that prevents them from putting forward their best as a team? I think the PCB selection committees & coaches should address that issue and inculcate team spirit. Maybe classes on team bonding & team spirit would be in order. Some amount of healthy competition between team members is good, but cut throat competition is detrimental & I think that is what is holding Pakistan's team back.

India might have won the match........but present pakistan team is no good than 1996 pakistan team....I think there is no contest between pakistan and India at present day. Indian batting is more powerfull than pakistan. PCB should find some good talent and bring them to present team. We Indians like good fight between bat and ball not one sided match.
