I love LLF, although I will say it is quite elitist. How about some poets and writers from Sindh, Balochistan and KP? How about some folk singers? Why Poor Little Rich Boy as performers when this country is teeming with hidden arts and talents?

Literary festivals are great but since this one is being held in Lahore, it should also address the issue of exploitation of other provinces by Punjab as well.

@MB It is about Lahore as a cultural city. Sindh has its own excellent Karachi Literary Festival. KPK is going to hold its own literary festival. That leaves Baluchistan, who need to hold one in Quetta.

@Palijo Dear if you people elect dacoits as your leaders consistently, then this feeling is bound to grow in masses. Sooner you get rid of these leader, who are unmoved by dying children in hundreds, will work for your welfare?

When times of sorrow
Come each day,
I always feel sad
And sigh away.
Always a war, needs fighting
Always a life, suffering,
Oh, how I wish,
I wish for peace.
Though, I know, 'tis a test
Laid for us by God,
That the day comes
Of no more burden,
No more load.
A time of love,
A time of ease,
Oh, how I wish,
I wish for peace.
But, what would I give
For people to always get along,
Instead of shouting curses
To, maybe, sing a song?
I hope, I will live
To see my dream come true,
As, I hope, your dreams do to.
Right now, I will wish,
I wish for peace.
