SUKKUR, Sept 21: The chief minister, Sindh, Sardar Ali Mohammad Khan Mahar, has said there is no danger to the Sindh government and those who are dreaming about the chief minister-ship should open their eyes and serve the people with the government.
While talking to different delegations at the Circuit House, Jacobabad, Mr Mahar said that as far as the support of Pir Pagara is with him, he has no concern whatsoever.
He said that he is enjoying full cooperation of the allies and had no differences with the Sindh governor.
He claimed that everyone was performing his duty according to the Constitution and nothing was being done beyond power.
He said after the establishment of medical college in Sukkur, arrangements are under way to establish an engineering college in Ghotki.
Mr Mahar said that orders had been issued to regularize contractual doctors, and to reinstate ASIs and Tapedars whose services were terminated.
He said that to overcome joblessness, ban over the jobs had been lifted and soon hundreds of jobs would be provided to the jobless on merit.
JOBS PROMISED: Earlier, while addressing an open kutchehry at Ghotki, the chief minister said that the unemployed youth of Ghotki would be provided jobs.
In this connection, he advised the youth to make efforts to clear their interviews and written tests because the jobs would be provided on the basis of merit only.
INVESTIGATION ORDERED: On the complaint of Mushtaq Shaikh about the killing of his two brothers and robbery at Pano Aqil, the chief minister ordered the DPO, Sukkur, to investigate and submit a report to him about it within three days.
Later, while talking with newsmen, he said that he could not comment on the news item appearing in a section of the press in which it was indicated that the SDA leader, Imtiaz Shaikh, and his followers had joined the PML.
However, he did say that if they joined the PML, it would strengthen it all the more “and I have no objection and it is also not a threat for me politically”.
ACCIDENT: Two cyclists were killed after being run over by a truck on the Indus Highway near Kandhkot town, Jacobabad district on Friday.
Khuda Bux Choliani, 17, and his cousin, Tillan Choliani, 18, were on their way to Bagan Bijarani village when the accident took place. They died on the spot.
The police have arrested truck driver Abdul Manan and impounded the truck.
