MELBOURNE: Bangladesh on Monday were granted permission to call-up Shafiul Islam to replace fast bowler Al-Amin Hossain who was kicked out of the World Cup squad for breaking a curfew.
The 25-year-old Shafiul has played 52 ODIs in which he has scored 124 runs and taken 58 wickets. His last ODI in Bangladesh colours was against Zimbabwe in Dhaka in November 2014.
Al-Amin, 25, was booted out of the tournament for returning to the team hotel in Brisbane after the 10pm deadline.
Bangladesh are due to take on Sri Lanka at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Thursday.

This is how integrity is maintain in the team, there should be rules and rules have Nottingham power, now see the same situation occurred in Pakistan team and how they handled it
Same is happening in entire Pakistan no integrity anywhere where it's internal matters or external matters
And entire world is watching it and laughing on

PCB and Pakistan Cricket management should learn from Bangladesh. Indisciplined player must be punished hard.

Appreciate Bangladesh management for its tough discipline. I WISH the Pakistan board also had the same courage.

This is called discipline. Fining them $230 is not the answer. That fine doesnt even hurt their pockets. That's probably their daily wage on this tour. Bangladesh, I hope you qualify for QF and Pak (from Pool B) doesnt qualify. Show of respect and quality of team management.

Don't be so harsh on him. May be he went for late night fishing that is why he came late to the hotel. Atleast give him a chance to explain himself. Kicking is a bit too harsh word to use.

The Daily Star of Bangladesh reports that he is to be quizzed by the anti corruption unit and they were tracking him during his absence from the team hotel . BCB has withdrawn him from the tournament to prevent further embarrassment and since ICC's Anti Corruption Unit alerted BCB , ICC also moved quickly to accept a replacement. In the case of Pak it may not be possible to replace players on grounds of poor performance .

of course player cannot be removed for curfew violation and obviously icc won't allow any replacement if they are pulled out. Otherwise, teams will be pulling out under performing players on the pretext of curfew breach. Incomplete reporting

@Sab Se Pehle Pakistan Maybe. Had it been some bilateral tour, some leniency in discipline may be considered. But in a tournament as important as world cup no quarter should be even considered in breaches of discipline.
